The swirling sword.
Introduction: In view of events that have rocked the religious world in the last couple decades and have become notoriously known to the public, I have felt directed by God to summarize various visions that He gave me years in reference to one theme: that of the divine judgments to be meted out on all pride.
On the first occasion I saw this, several years before it began to be fulfilled, the Lord showed me a sword of great girth and size that was going to go through the earth as an instrument of purifying judgment, but specially in the United States. This sword swirled as it operated, much like a scythe at a certain level from the ground.
Toward where the sword was going to move, I saw persons, that although belonging to God, had become primed with power and success. So much so, that on the way to greatness and fame, they had totally deviated from the divine purposes, to the extent of becoming trapped in their own desires and service to their own ambitions and not to God. These people had becoming spiritually deformed, so much so that the Lord no longer recognized them. Thus they were subject to the severing, cutting judgment of the swirling sword.
I also saw that although Jesus loved them and had accordingly given them many chances to change, these opportunities had not been taken. Consequently, the Lord now obligated by the constant rejection and hardness of heart was sending this sharp and cutting sword to cut down every high thing. This was like a last and extreme resort used by God intending to save and recover these people for Himself.
Accordingly I saw that great shining sword go forth in obedience to God’s command, marking and cutting down all that was standing, like a woodsman marks and hews down the tallest trees. Those that were to be cut down were persons of recognized success and renown in the religious world, but that had risen in their ambitions and pride. They were to be humbled by force, much in contrast to those who would willingly surrender and submit and thus be kept from the judgment.
Very clearly, the only way to be kept from the swirling sword was to be humbled at the feet of Jesus. In fact this was a latent opportunity always, even to those who rejected it. So those who bent down, accepting as well as yielding to the will of God were exempted and kept from this painful and devastating judgment. Again the Lord pointed out to me that the judgment, although intense and severe in its operation, was actually corrective in its purpose.
Note: This prophecy came into fulfillment in the decade of the 80’s with the abrupt and great fall of famous television ministries, but also many more unpublicized ministries were swept along in the same judgment)
In relation to all of this, later on the Lord allowed me to see the inner workings of the process that led these persons to such sudden and calamitous fall. He showed me how there is a point in the ministry where ambition, pride, and power begin to mix in, as if it were like the growth of a lethal cancer that infiltrates, destroys, and replaces the very body tissue. Because at first its presence is undetected, it doesn’t seem anything is wrong, nonetheless it will continue to spread until it takes all.
Thus I could observe from the invisible realm how all this is seen as a horrible deformation, to the extent that demons immediately identify and swoop in to nurture this pride and ego until it becomes an almost inpenetrable stronghold in the people affected by it. Thus, with the purpose of rescue and recovery, the Lord uses extreme measures to demolish the stronghold and release the person to repentance and restoration.
Note: We have very noticebly seen the restoration of some of the ministry brought under judgment. Because all the fe their power and pride was fragmented, they released to embrace repentance and find the way back to restoration. (ex. Jim Baker)
